Joe Baldacchino asked if I could find a photo of the 1964 Australian Cup winner Old Tops. Raced and trained by Frank McSweeney from NSW. The race was run at Olympic Park under handicap conditions over 560 yards. Old Tops started from box five off 9 yards at 6/1. He was a Red Fawn and White dog by Top Linen from Half A Nip whelped March 1961. He beat 5/4 fav The Stripper off 8 yards from box 1 and Blue Shan 7/1 off 8 yards from box 3. The out marker off 10 yards Cultured Girl finished fourth. Old Tops fell in by a half head with third a length away.
