Des Dooley posted -1973 Sale Cup winner Rerod – trainer Don Hays 2nd Sale Cup. Rerods mother Lucky Chimes was a litter sister to Mini Note (dam of Half Your Luck) and Mini Chimes (mother of Nigger Chimes) From the Armatree Prince – Flash Note litter bred by Nugget Charles from South Gippsland.
Don Hay – Would have to be one of the only times the sale cup was run as a handicap Des.
Des Dooley – Don, the 1970 Cup won by Radiant Quan, was also a handicap. Prior to that I have no records.
