When I was at Warrnambool last Thursday night, I bumped into Lady Lilly’s trainer Colin Kelly. It brought back fond memories of the Warrnambool Postman that rolled all the big-name trainers in a Melbourne Cup. She run down Winfred Bale no less in star studded field. Col’s looking well hairs gone grey but sporting a sensational ponytail these days and hasn’t changed a bit.
John Reid – When lady Lilly was a reserve in the cup heats,for some unknown reason I hoped she would win her way through the series,the rest is of course history.
