Two classic and historic photos of the Northfield’s Pop and Nan. Top one Nana Northfield holding a greyhound. This photo was taken in 1937. Bottom photo Hec Watt holding Zoom Top and Pop Northfield holding Stratheden Rock before their match race at Lismore in 1969. Pop’s Stratheden Rock caused a major upset by defeating the legend.

Mark Small– I remember Stratheden Rock vividly Don, he was loved by my mum. He had broken down at some stage and Dad got him to train off Charlie to get him going for a tilt at a Grafton July Carnival which was my first recollection of the Northfield’s …. many times visiting the farm & Jack& Hanna Lollback’s after that which led Dad to getting The Cadillac as a 14-month-old pup.
