Rocketeer stood at stud for legendary Gunnedah trainer Jack Millerd Jack raced and stood Hall of Famer Chief Havoc. Also found in the Sandown Safe is an extraordinary handwritten letter Jack wrote to Max Johnson on the sad passing of “Nigger” Rocketeer’s kennel name. It was a tragic car accident after Rocketeer escaped his kennel while Jack was trialing pups. Amazingly Jack Millard died in the same way struck down in the main street of the New South Wales country town.
