This picture was taken in 1934. The slipper, the late Charlie Tonkin, was renowned as the National Coursing official slipper, and the greyhounds pictured are Creaminda & Maharatta nearest camera. Creaminda was a brother to the prolific sire Pharminda, and Maharatta ran-up in the New South Wales Waterloo Cup of 1933. Young slipper of today would well to study and copy the style, expertise and balance with which the competitors are being dispatched.
Jeff Collerson remarked – That would have been at Woodstock the NCA’s property at Rooty Hill.
