What a great little chaser Betty’s Angel was she led all the way in the 2006 G1 MELBOURNE CUP recording 29.51 when she beat her litter sister. She also won the 2006 G1 SAPPHIRE CROWN CLASSIC three weeks earlier. Her third group 1 was the 2007 Perth Cup. By Brett Lee from Leprechaun Yap whelped 1st of November 2004. She won by 14 and half lengths in the a best of the meeting 29.76 came out a week later and ran identical time in winning again. Her best time at Sandown was 29.51 and Angle Park she won in 29.17 and 29.12. She also won at Albion Park and Cannington, had two starts at Wenty for a second and a third in the Egg heat and semi. Betty’s Angel won the 2006 Victorian and AGRA Greyhound of the Year awards. She produced 18 pups from four litters to Spiral Nikita, Token Prince, Bombastic Shiraz and Lonesome Cry. Her best pups were Ed Pacino, Prince Holyfield, Token Spinner, Ritza Ronnie and Lonesome Boy.
