Des Dooley – From 1972 to the late 80’s the Sale Club was running 2 Distance Championships (The Sale Distance Championship and the T.L. Davidson Distance Championship). From late 80’s to 2017? only the T.L. Davidson was run until it was replaced by the new Sale Distance Championship. No wonder historians get grey hair!
