One of the smart winners of the Sandown Cup was the 1997 winner, sprinter-stayer Tonight’s Wish. Whelped May 1994 by Dilston Prince from New Wish. He was raced and bred by John Panetta and trained by Jeff Britton he had 100 starts for 45 wins and 26 placings for $203,470. He loved Sandown. Besides the Cup, he won the 1996 Sprint Champ at Sandown, as well as the 1997 Carlton Cup, 1997 New Years Cup, Roy Maidment Memorial, Navy Week Trophy and Bookmakers Trophy. At stud he produced 54 litters his best pup probable Connemara Gem.
