Greyhound Racing Australia wide have been at the fore front of a good cause since its inception. Fund Rasing of all activities have been conducted by clubs at theirs tracks with the full support of Authoritative bodies in all activities. The industry should be proud of the model citizens that they are in answering any and all worthy pursuits to help others in need. I found this gem of a Sports day conducted at Sandown for Yooralla. I particularly loved the celebrity names in attendance and the list of the Daily activities. It was back in 1974 and I do recall being in attendance.
