You Idiot started life as Hoppy Dazzler (Head Honcho x Hoppy’s Star) August 1996. Raced by Gwen Lenehan and trained by Graeme Bate. 61 starts 24 wins and 12 Placings $30,683 in stakes. Won at Sandown, Ballarat, Geelong, Angle Park, Traralgon, Sale, Horsham, Devonport, Mt Gambier, Darwin, Barmera and Warrnambool. He also raced at Healesville, Bendigo, Tweed Heads, Wentworth Park and Hobart. Renamed for Sam Newman of the Footy Show and one of the great promotions we have ever enjoyed. Thanks to G Bate.
