Here is a couple of interesting Daily Newspaper articles. Back page of the Sun on Wednesday November 26, 1952. Opening day of the revamped Sandown track on the old racecourse site. They had raced and coursed there since 1935. On the same page is a story by Frank Morley of a sabotage stunt set to stop the meeting going ahead. The other photo appeared in the Argus on Friday August 12th, 1938, of a dog Coursing at the same venue.
