I had an old photo with wrestling at Wenty. Here on March 30th 1982 at Geelong they had a sellout International bout between Filipino Eddie Ballaran and Victorian Graeme Brooke. In a great contest Brooke won the fight on points. 3250 spectators turned up with ringside seats $20. World champion Barry Michael also put on an exhibition bout. The Geelong Cup held the same night was won by another Graeme, a famous local resident with his star Satan’s Shroud. Outstanding field.
