One Victoria’s best greyhound callers Peter Donegan gave it away in 1983 when 3UZ dropped the rights and 3DB picked them up. Donegan was a loss considering DB did it for five minutes before they were back at 3UZ. He went on and probably would have anyway to bigger and better things as a multi talented sports broadcaster who can turn his hand to just about anything.
Fred Von Haych– An outstanding broadcaster…. I loved his calls of Harness Champion Popular Alm in the early 80’s also….
Alex Jokic– And once again… “loyalty” not worth a pie….
John Thwaites– Rate him as one of the best dog callers. Went on to do many things oh so well..so this was a sliding door moment for PD. Top bloke with a huge talent.
