For the Greyhound trainers out there a few useful medicines from the old days.
Doug Scott – When i first started in dogs in the late forties there was still trainers filing dowm pennies to give to their dogs to treat distemper.
Kerry Chalker– Would any be used today ?
Gary Smith– Always used castor oil and syrup of bucksthorn after a run in the 70-80s, then they stopped making the syrup of bucksthorn, had a chemist in Cootamundra who had it until he run out, mention half this stuff now and a vet would look at you stupid 😉
Steven Van Oirschot– Thats what ppl would have used in the old days as well.
