Found this letter of invitation for a very interesting event to take place up the home straight at Olympic Park back in 1994. My partner for the race was a great bloke and brilliant Race Caller David Raphael. Who could ever forget “Lids Fly” and the wonderful career he carved out in Hong Kong. The race caller for the event was Ron Hawkswell and I remember it fondly because David and I won. Our prize was a large basket of fruit in keeping with the sponsors. I think I still have the Tee-Shirt but it doesn’t fit.
